Heating

The heat is digitally/remotely controlled in each and every room. There is a thermostat in each and every room that is pre-programmed. Please do not manually adjust the heat. If you need to adjust the heat - please contact me directly. To keep the chalet energy efficient:

• The heating system works very well, it is set for 60-72 degrees, except for basement which is set higher.

• Feel free to put the ceiling fans on to more evenly distribute the heat. The remote lives on the wall by the stairs to the second floor, please remember to return it there so it is not misplaced.

• Do not turn off the humidifier in the basement, this helps regulate the temperature.

Cooling

• In the summer - There is a portable air conditioner in the main living area. Do not attempt to move it to another window. You may turn on and adjust settings by the remote control located on the side of the air conditioner. You may need to empty the inner bucket of water - you will know to do this when the air conditioner turns on and off.

• In the summer - There are stand up air conditioners in each upstairs bedroom. Please do not move any of these they should stay in their rooms.  Again if they turn off on their own the bucket of water may need to be drained.

• Please feel free to turn on the ceiling fan.  The remote lives on the wall by the stairs to the second floor, please remember to return it there so it is not misplaced.

• There are several portable fans throughout the chalet in the closets of each room or out in the open.

• Please do not leave the windows or screen doors open when you are not home or check out (unless you like having critters visit you - we do not).
