• Garbage: The #1 thing I ask is that the trash is taken to Big Bass Lake trash and recycling center.  The reason is..... bears and other country critters! They will break down the door if they smell food. The bins are located to the left of the check-in gate.  When you pull in to the trash and recycling center there is a large red trash bin on the right.  The front side has a door that you open and throw the trash bags in.  You can take trash as often as you like.  It is open 24/7. Please, please do not leave filled garbage bags in the house or on the deck. If you decide to leave the garbage there is a $5 charge per bag no matter the size.

• Recycling:  BBL recycles broken down cardboard and tin/aluminum only.  These are placed in the appropriate receptacles at the Trash and Recycling center. Please remember to remove the glass and plastics from their bag - throw the bag in the trash bin.

• Please make sure windows and doors are closed and locked. If chair cushions are outside on the deck, I would love it if you could bring patio cushions into sunroom - just in case it rains. This ensures the next guests have dry cushions.

• Please turn off the air conditioner, fans and lights.

• Please lightly load and start the dishwasher before you depart. If you don't have room for them all, please scrape the food off and rinse them, then leave them in the sink. Please don't overload the dishwasher and leave food sitting out.

• You can leave your beds unmade - this shows the cleaners which beds were used. No need to strip them.

Did you accidentally break something? It's okay (depending on what it is, I mean come on) but please let us know so we may replace it for the next guests. Stuff happens, we get it, so we try to work with our guests to get the item(s) replaced. Honesty and kindness always win.
